I was very fortunate to spend a few hours down in Columbus with my new and beautiful niece, Rylee. Leandra and Dan were the most gracious hosts (thanks for the Chix Filet Dan!!) and Rylee and I had great conversations over some milk. I cannot wait until Sawyer gets to meet and spend some quality time with his cousin. I have a feeling Sawyer will become pretty protective of her in the future.

She is absolutely beautiful!! Congrats to your brother and SIL. :)
Hey Cara! I like this blog idea and may have to ask your help in starting one of my own! So, I am putting the final touches on my plans for tomorrrow-- the first day of school-- and fighting back tears at the same time! How do you do it?! It's finally setting in that I am now, "working mom" full time-- no more 'part-time' job and spending most of my time with Nathan, and it's breaking my heart :(
I'm such an emotioal rollercoaster mess!! This is what i have wanted for so long... a career as a teacher, and finally i got it. I'm so excited, but now so sad, too! I'm trying to think of the positives-- i'll be home when he wakes from his naps, no more nights or weekends at work, no more holidays, etc. But, the hard part is I am already missing the daily routines and the little moments that make me smile. He means the world to me, as I know Sawyer does to you, so I have confidence that i am doing the right thing for myself, him and our family and that "working mom" will be a great change for all of us. Right?!?!?! Well, enjoy the last few days of your summer and hope to see you soon--- this thursday for dinner?! Take Care-- Mandy :)
